Our IEE Team’s Process:
Parent or school district representative calls Intake Coordinator or completes Google Form.
Intake Coordinator completes phone screenings with parent and school district to screen concerns and determine goodness of fit (aka, we’re the right fit!).
IEE Team drafts individualized evaluation plan and estimate for the school district to review and approve.
Once plan and estimate are approved by the district, the IEE team will schedule 1-2 in-person testing sessions with the student at our office in Ohio City and classroom observations at the student’s school.
Once testing is completed, IEE team schedules an in-person or virtual feedback session with the parent and school district to discuss independent testing results, share any related recommendations, and provide a copy of the IEE report.
Our IEE team is typically available to schedule in-person testing sessions within a week or two. We generally complete IEE reports within approximately 4 weeks.
It is important to note that, IEEs may take longer than this timeframe because of additional factors such as:
- School district approval is required before our team can begin the IEE process.
- School Boards often must review and approve the IEE proposal our team creates during regularly scheduled Board meetings.
- Our IEE team members also must gather information from school team members within school team members’ availability (e.g., classroom observations, teacher questionnaires and interviews, etc.).
Our team will maintain communication with both the parent and school district about any expected or unexpected timeframe changes should they occur.
